Well, after an evening of celebrating with a delicious dinner (and several free drinky-drinks) Andy and I spent the night in Atlanta and then hit the road for Memphis, TN on Friday, August 7th! It was a quick trip, we only spent two nights there, but we hit a few good landmarks and ate some fantastic food!
We ate Memphis BBQ ribs and fried catfish:We ate breakfast at the famous Arcade Restaurant:
Order the french toast - you won't regret it!
We went to Evis Presley's Graceland:
The "Lisa Marie"and the Jungle Room
We went to the National Civil Rights Museum:
We walked down Beale Street:
If it looks like we had a great time it's because we did. Andy and I give Memphis two thumbs up and totally reccommend it to anyone who hasn't gone yet!
In other news:::::
Andy and I are moving to Lawton, OK/Ft. Sill on September 2nd/3rd (in about a week)! I didn't want to publish this information too soon because we wanted to be absolutely sure that these plans were going to stick before I put it out on the interwebs. We have found an apartment and will be Okies until the end of April 2010! Check back after the first week-ish of September for some pics of Lovely Lawton! ;) ...and in the meantime, wish us luck for the move!!
