The King of Battle

And here we are...several weeks behind schedule for those of you keeping track...how did six weeks get to be so long?

Well, about 24 hours after I published the last entry, Andy called to inform me that he had been bumped out of his OCS class to make room for other Officer Candidates that needed to restart. Basically, people get sick or injured, can't finish OCS, then have to wait to start with the next cycle. Andy's name got called in the lottery and he got taken out to make room for those soldiers and he started with the next class - three weeks later.

Anyway, after all the work on that post announcing Andy's graduation from BCT and that OCS was starting and so on, I just didn't really feel like going back in and changing it all...so I didn't and now you know!

Now for the real news: Andy branched on Friday, June 26. He is now the Army's next Field Artillery Officer!

There should be more news coming in the next few weeks about when/where he will be going after Ft. Benning to continue his FA training, but I probably shouldn't speak to soon! ;) Once those plans are more concrete, I will post about it!

Until next time - take care!
