The Halfway Point!

Yes, folks – it is indeed the truth! Today marks the HALFWAY POINT!  Well, I guess really it marks Andy’s being gone for 6 months, which in a projected 12-month deployment would be the halfway point – but it’s really +/- depending on when exactly he comes home.  Either way – WOO HALFWAY!

Andy was actually back home for a bit last month for R&R – we went to Kansas City to see his mom and we went down to Dallas to see my parents and some great friends!  Here are some pictures:
He's here! He's here!
One of our favorites!
The Old Red
We celebrated a bit early!
We got such a good deal on our room and our bell-hop was
an Elvis impersonator and he sang us a song!
Our night out - Dinner at Stephen Pyle's (so good!) and Handel's Messaih at the Meyerson
Cool mirror in our hotel room
At my parents' house
Pops on Route 66!
The night before he left to go back...
We had a great time on R&R!

Also, we are moving AGAIN.  Practically as I type this.  Back in December our neighborhood was notified of an “opportunity” to move over to one of the brand new developments on post.  At first it sounded like a choice, but it quickly became apparent that it was not optional and we were all assigned new addresses and future move dates.  I picked up our new key yesterday and so, as of next Wednesday-Friday-ish Andy and I will yet again have a new address.  If you would like that address, please contact me either by phone (that number isn’t changing), through Facebook, or by email - I have a new email address: britfbc@gmail.com!  Also, look forward to new return address labels.  (On a related note: Any idea what to do with my old return address labels…all 145+ that are left over?  Because I bought them RIGHT BEFORE WE GOT THAT LETTER IN THE MAIL TELLING US ABOUT THE “OPPORTUNITY!” Gah, the timing of it all…)

So to recap: Halfway done, R&R was great, new address!

Oh and maybe I’ll update more often --- promises, promises.
