Day 1!

Aaaaand here we are again.  Several weeks since my last update I've come crawling back.  Ok, so I don't typically participate in certain Facebook-inspired "challenges". For instance, you will not find a note listing "25 Things" or a photo of a celebrity I think I look like (I did the "find a doppelganger" thing and it spit out Julie Andrews and Keith Urban - thanks, but no thanks).  Yet, here I am attempting this "30 Day Blog Challenge".  I figure this is actually a worthy endeavor for me because I would really like to blog more and maybe this will help me come out of my shell a bit and realize that if I write it, you will read it! ;)

So today's prompt is: Introduce yourself, post a recent picture of yourself, and list 15 interesting facts...

And now - 15 Interesting Facts, in no particular order:

1. I was born in Virginia, but raised in Texas.

2. Now that I no longer live in Texas I miss Texas-y things - like Dublin Dr. Pepper and Whataburger and Aggieland.

3. Andy and I have like a hundred "anniversaries", but we only truly celebrate one. 

4. I hate hanging curtains.

5. I once killed 10 spiders in one day (this was only like 2 weeks ago...)

6. I haven't had the same address for more than 12 months in a row since August 2004.

7. I have a cat named Nugget and a dog named Daphne.

8. I recently learned that if there's one thing I do right it's lemon cake.

9. I can't flare my nostrils.

10. I love Choco Tacos.

11. I made a snow angel for the first time this past winter.

12. "Friends" is still one of my favorite shows.

13. I can't eat corn right off the cob - I have to cut it off and then use a fork.

14. I love being an aunt.

15. I hate coming up with "interesting facts" about myself.
