Day 7!

Well, aren't I getting a late start?....


Truth be told, I got sucked into a few episodes of "Twin Peaks" on Netflix.  Have you ever seen this show?  It aired in 1990 and 1991 and apparently has a cult following, I guess.  I had heard about it, but didn't really know anything about the plot or characters.  Anyway, I saw an episode of "Psych" that kind of paid homage to it and seeing as I enjoy the quirkiness of "Psych" I thought I should give "Twin Peaks" a shot and I'm really getting into it.  You should watch it, too.


Back to business.
Today's topic: Favorite movies.


Well, this is easy - anything with Ryan Reynolds in it.  (Except maybe Green Lantern - I haven't seen it, but Blake Lively is kind of a fart actress so it doesn't look great...)

Dan in Real Life: because of the part where he sings "Let my Love Open the Door"
Muppet Treasure Island: because of the funny songs
The Muppet Movie: because it's the original 
The Wizard of Oz: Because because because because because!
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory: because of Gene Wilder
Amelie: because it's French
Fight Club: because of Tyler Durden
Chicago: because he had it comin'
Moulin Rouge: because I can! can! can!
Bulworth: because we have two copies of it - but I've never seen it....
E.T.: because how could you not love this movie?
27 Dresses: because I kind of like Katherine Heigl and I think it's a real cute movie
Mamma Mia: because I like to sing along
300: because tonight we dine in hell!
Enchanted: because of Amy Adams' dresses
Marie Antoinette: because of Kirsten Dunst's dresses 
Kick-Ass: because it's a good call, baby doll!
Love Actually: because it's all around
Smokin' Aces: because of Ryan Reynolds...and because if you ever wanted to see Richard Alpert kill Jack Shepard, this is your chance! (Don't worry, it doesn't give away anything, you can find the scene on youtube so you don't even have to watch the whole thing.)
Tropic Thunder: because Mother Nature just pissed her pantsuit. And RDJ is great in this.
Ghost Ship: because of the bad guy 
Cannibal the Musical: because it's super clever if you catch on
Lilo & Stich: because "ohana" means family and family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten
Saved!: because I am FILLED with Christ's love.
The Princess Bride: because my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
The Future Holds Anarchy: because I co-wrote/co-filmed/co-directed/co-starred in/co-edited this cinematic masterpiece
Mr. Holland's Opus: because I was in band...and played the clarinet
Harry Potter 1-7: because even though they didn't start out great, they got better and omg Part 2 is coming out soon!
Toy Story 1-3: because the kid's name is Andy - oh and because they're so good - it's like...childhood
Wall-E, Up, The Incredibles, etc: Because Pixar almost never fails (See: Toy Story 1-3)
Waitress: "because this movie makes me want to learn how to make pies" pie


Ok, that seems like enough.  I should say that I have a hard time choosing things. Like yesterday I couldn't pick ONE thing that made me happy -- I can't pick just a few favorite movies. I like a lot of different movies for a lot of different reasons and I would say that this compilation is pretty accurate - I mean, the movies on this list are ones that I have watched over and over and haven't gotten sick of yet.  


So what? I like 27 Dresses... back off.  ;)
