I'm in Texas and I've gotten to see Meg (twice - so far!) and Steph and JD and lots of family friends and I've gotten to shop a bit and spend time with my folks! It's been really nice and it's not over yet!
Today's topic: Favorite ALL TIME picture of yourself and why.
ALL TIME really is in the caps. I didn't add that. Personally, I feel like that puts a lot of pressure on me to choose a picture. I could go down several roads: a silly picture to show my silly side or a bridal portrait because I looked beautiful or a picture of me with Andy because I love him or a picture of me in college back when I had a tan or a picture of me in France because I loved being there or a picture of me as a kid...whatever. I have no idea. I have way too photos and most of them are not of me and the ones that are 'eh' at best.
So I picked this one:
And why? I don't really know - but I think it's a great picture of me. It was taken at Bull Shoals Lake near Cotter, AR in March 2008. Andy and I went up to his parents' cabin in Flippin for spring break and I actually set the timer and put the camera on a bench and got this shot. Boy - I must be good enough to be a professional photographer! Look for my new page on Facebook soon! ;) jk jk jk!
Anyway, I like how you can see my face, but not entirely, and I think my hair looks great and I like how the daffodil looks like it's lit from the inside out and I like all the green behind me and the sheen on the water and even though I'm not totally outdoorsy this picture makes me want to be... On top of that it was such a good trip and I loved spending the week there in the cabin and in the tiny little towns nearby - so lots of good memories are in this shot.
Picking a favorite picture of yourself is kind of hard. I have like a hundred - but I've been trying to be better about picking one favorite (instead of lists of favorites) - so this is what you get!
